Bockbeer Edition 2018

The brewers were on the road again. It went to Ireland. There they brewed a dark bock together with our brewer friends from O'Haras Brewing. That was a real first. The first so-called Collaboration Brew in our 140-year brewery history. It was clear that a remarkable beer had to come out of it: After all, everyone involved knows their craft. This was also shown by the successful performance at the Meiningers International Craft Beer Award. There, in May 2018, the Irish stout from O'Haras and our Karlsberg Bock won the highest award, platinum. And it was only awarded 26 times by the expert jury out of around 1,100 evaluated beers. Real friendships have been formed alongside a dark goat in Dublin. It goes without saying that the Irish brewers are soon due for a return visit: they came to Homburg for the Karlsberg Bock beer festival in November 2018.

The strictly limited „Brewmaster Edition Bock Beer“ with an original wort of 16 % and 6 % vol. Alcohol was only available in a very limited number of restaurants!
